 OUR HISTORY

SINCE 1906


Anderson Wood provides the full scope of hardwood components from rough dimension to those that are fully machined, assembled and prefinished. We employ a highly skilled work force, maintain a lumber inventory in excess of two million board feet and manufacture in a facility configured with flexible and unique woodworking equipment.

1900's


Olof Anderson, a Swedish immigrant, founded the company in 1906 to manufacture residential millwork, trim and cabinetry.

1910's


During World War I, we made field blacksmith cabinets and mess tables for the troops in Europe.

1920's


We furnished the architectural millwork for many fine hotels built during this dynamic decade.

1930's


Millwork for Roosevelt’s WPA projects, primarily post offices and courtrooms, was supplied.

1940's


We were leaders in the manufacturing of components for the pre-fabricated housing industry.

1950's


Anderson Wood supplied television and stereo cabinet parts to Zenith, General Electric and RCA.

1960's


We made thousands of maple cutting board dishwasher tops every day.

1970's


We pioneered pre-fabricated replacement bowling lanes made from Rock Maple and Loblolly Pine.

1980's


Anderson furnished millwork for Disney’s Epcot Pavilions and the Grand Floridian Hotel.

1990's


Entry doors, stair parts, furniture panels and chairs became Anderson Wood specialties.

2000's


Anderson grew to be the largest producer of hardwood stair railing and bunk beds in North America.

2010's


The 5th generation of the Anderson family has joined the management team and we acquired a high capacity finishing operation.

TODAY


Well into our 2nd century, Anderson Wood remains focused on providing value to our customers. With our diverse capabilities and talented craftspeople, we are able to provide quality products that truly make wood work for you.
